“ What can I say other than WOW! Inconspicuous from the outside and a wee bit tiny on the inside. I unfortunately have never dined in. I'm always heading someplace and need to take my order to go. The first time I visited I asked for their most popular which is the Mixta (Chicarrón, Frijoles, y Queso) and I selected Frijoles y Queso. I was blown away by the flavor and wonderful texture of the Mixta. Their chicarrón was al dente. Not mushy nor break a tooth hard. The sauce/salsa wasn't too much where it becomes a hand painting fest. Think hand full of sauce, yuck. It was perfect. Don't get me wrong. I needed a fork and knife to eat mine while my friend's hands were big enough to hold and contain all that yumminess. I just don't like getting my hands messy while eating. The frijoles and cheese was also tasty, it really was. However, you should start with everything else first because you'll be thinking about the Mixta the entire time. I'll be a repeat customer for sure. ”
“ Good Food, Good/Fast Service. I order a soup 'De Res'. It came with home made tortillas that were super yummy as well. ”
“ Absolutely delicious! So many great options. I loved it, and I will keep coming here when I can for breakfast, and lunch when I'm in ftw ”
“ BEST PUPUSAS. Fast service y el cortido . La sala wasnt spicy but very CurtidoMixta Pupusas ”
“ Don't let the outside fool you, this place is bomb! I came here on a Wednesday night and it was pretty full. We were seated pretty quickly but it did take a good 35 minutes to get our food. I totally did not mind though, because our pupusas were so good and I could tell they were just made. ”
“ Run, don't walk to Doña Carmen's stat. We ordered a variety of options from the menu because it was our first time here. Our takeout container was filled with a variety of papusas, tamales, empanadas, and yuca. The pricing is super affordable so feel free to stock up! Between three of us, we didn't even dent our order and will be eating off our meal for days. I'm not upset about. The stand out entrees for me were the jalapeño and cheese papusa and beef empanada. I wasn't super into the tamales. The chicken tamale had some fatty pieces of meat and a half of a potato- which I wasn't expecting. The salsas were not what I was expecting, but I enjoyed trying them. The green-ish salsa is SUPER HOT. They have online ordering, but we had issues picking up our order and had to reorder at the counter. It wasn't a big deal at all - and super worth it for the delicious and affordable food. I can't wait to come back and try more things!! ”
“ True authentic Papusas!! Don't be fooled by the exterior. This place is truly authentic when it comes to Salvadoran food. I was introduced to this place by a coworker who swore by the papusas and I have to tell you she was right now! They offer several kinds you can buy them separate or as a meal with beans, plantains, etc. There is also a free juice which is a refreshing concoction of fresh fruits. It's very sweet so add some water to tone it down. We left the place full and pleased with our meals. The place is packed and there is extra parking in the back if you need it. ”
